After damage from Tropical Storm Fred and Hurricane Helene, renovations are underway at the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission’s Bobby N. Setzer State Fish Hatchery in Pisgah National Forest.
As the general contractor on this $47 million project, Cooper Tacia is proud to play a role in restoring NC’s largest trout hatchery — a facility responsible for supplying 65% of the trout stocked in North Carolina’s waterways each year and supporting a statewide program with a $1.4 billion economic impact.
The 137,000 SF renovation will expand the hatchery’s capacity and build resilience back into a facility that serves anglers, communities, and conservation efforts across western North Carolina for generations to come.
