Project Details
Cooper Tacia has been awarded construction of the Shipwatch Square Transit and Workforce Development Center in North Charleston, South Carolina, a new hub for the Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA).
The facility will support up to 10 buses at a time, with indoor and outdoor seating for riders, a community meeting space, and offices. It will also house SC Works, bringing job seeker services and workforce training on site alongside the transit hub. The facility will connect directly to the future Lowcountry Rapid Transit line, creating a seamless link between CARTA and the region’s growing transit network.
