Project Details
In the summer of 2017, Cooper Tacia was approached by Anthony Guerra to construct a new restaurant pizza shop he was planning near downtown Raleigh. We met Anthony while he was a manager at Crawford and Son and we were constructing that restaurant. His restaurant is called Oakwood Pizza Box and it has been very fun to be a part of making his lifelong dream of owning his own place come to life.
The space was designed by architect Matt Konar and is a blend of Matt’s work and a traditional New York pizza shop aesthetic that Anthony and his family dreamed of. One of the main features of the space is the addition of a roll-up garage door to the storefront. Some other features include custom tiling, walnut paneling, repurposed lighting, and an open kitchen.
