At Cooper Tacia we value our subcontractors’ success and have a prequalification process in place to ensure it. This process is a crucial part of our risk management program.
Follow the steps below to become an approved subcontractor:
Step 1: Request PreQual Authorization
Send an email to PreQual@coopertacia.com with the following information included in the body of your message (NOT as an attachment):
- Company name:
- Federal Tax ID:
- Company contact name (first and last):
- Company contact title:
- Email address of the company contact:
- Project(s) you are you bidding with Cooper Tacia:
*Important: Please ensure the contact information belongs to the individual authorized to complete the prequalification process on behalf of your company.
PLEASE NOTE: Prequalification process is only available for subcontractors who are interested in bidding or working on a specific project with Cooper Tacia. If you don’t qualify, we’d still love to hear from you! Please email your company’s information to estimating@coopertacia.com to be added to our bid list for future opportunities.
Step 2: Receive Authorization Email
If you meet our subcontractor requirements, you’ll receive an email within two business days requesting additional documentation.
Step 3: Send Additional Documentation
Once you receive the authorization email, please attach the following documents to an email and send it to PreQual@coopertacia.com:
- Signed W9 (latest version available at IRS.gov)
- Sample insurance certificate
- OSHA forms 300A and 300 (past three years, excluding employee names)
- EMR verification letter from your worker’s compensation provider (past three years)
- Safety Manual
- Project reference letters from owners/clients for three projects completed in the past three years
- Two Material supplier references from projects completed in the past two years
- Bonding capacity letter (required for scopes of $500K or more)
- Certification letters (MBE, DBE, SBE, etc.), if applicable
- Professional license certificates (e.g., general contractor, engineer), if applicable
Once your documentation is verified, you’ll receive an email confirming your approval as a Cooper Tacia subcontractor.
