Project Details
Cooper Tacia was contracted by American Zinc Recycling Corp. to take part in the repair of a section of their manufacturing facility in Mooresboro, North Carolina that had been damaged by fire. The Zinc Cell House Building, which removes and refines metals to make special high-grade zinc of continuous-galvanizing grade, had been completely destroyed. Our scope included the complete siding/sheathing replacement of the over 100,000 sf building with new fire-resistant fiberglass resin panels, replacement of structural steel members that had been damaged by heat and fire, and a complete gut and refurbishment of the building control room and mechanical system.
